Hair Reduction - Pigment of hair absorbs heat and that heat damages the follicle to not produce another hair
The reason a person on average has 6-10 treatments of an area is because not all of your hair is actively growing at all times, so we are treating different waves of growth each time.
Spots and Dots Reduction - Pigment of a spot (cherry angioma, freckle, sun spot) absorbs heat and those top layers of damaged/pigmented cells slough off to reveal healthy tissue below
Often a person has had a spot with them for years, it can take several treatments for those cells to slough off.
Wrinkle Reduction - Heating the skin to a certain degree stimulates collagen production which helps skin stay more firm
Laser treatments cannot set the time clock back, but it can definitely improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
